Unfortunately the round attempt had to abandoned due to sever weather. We were unlucky. I'm gutted and the tears are coming fast and furious but I know tomorrow I'll have gotten over it. And considering we spend 20 hours on open mountain my legs are surprisingly ok today. My feet I think have "trench foot" cos of the rain; lovely image that isn't it? Bet you're glad I didn't post a photo! I plan on posting properly about the attempt tomorrow.

Sorry to hear this got canned for you. A friend of mine was helping marshal the Ten Tors in Dartmoor a week or two back and they all got evacuated in helicopters! Looking forward to reading about those 20 hours.
That's a real bummer. The weather this May has been pretty crap. Just bad luck to get stuck with the worst of it. Good test of your fitness though. Sounds good if the legs are OK. Don't rush back into the training (not cos you need the rest, just to let me catch up with you guys!).

And cheers Mick, I'm so gutted. The legs are fine but the spirit is angry (if that makes any sense). My husband wants to make another attempt in 5 weeks and I would love to but it affects other things I was training for. Tony is brilliant and the only person I would want with me on the hills, but as I said before when the weather is bad, two is a dangerous number. If one gets injured the other can be on their own in a dodgy situation.
