Poor me...
Aww. I fell during last night's mountain race and today I am sore. Not bruised sore, right now it's more grazed sore. It was one of those falls where the ground was rocky and uneven and I hit along my entire right side. The graze on my lower arm is so sore right now I just want to go home and lie down! I wish! I whacked my chest off a rock too and I'm interested now in what that bruise is gonna look like.

I maintain that any sort of physical activity can only lead to this sort of thing. Get well soon. Grazes take the longest to heal, apart from burns.
Oh thanks Kav! Grazes are rough when they're on bendy parts of the body like elbows and knees!
Scotland must be a great place for running round mountains, you should give it a go!
Ouch! But I guess if you're mountain racing, that's part and parcel of the game.
Yeah Thomas, the falls are never serious. If I fell at that speed on the roads I'd have broken a few ribs and possibly an arm! Mountain running isn't dangerous at all. People generally don't get the joint injuries that road runners do either. It's great for endurance. That's my third mountain race in a week which is possibly too much!
Hope you recover from your heavy week better than I seem to be doing. At least you got into the hills instead of alongside a crappy canal.
Thanks Mick. Recovered enough to to spend 8 and half hours out on the Wicklow Hills! Still managed a sprint finish (although it wasn't a race, just a training run!).
I suppose for you a canal is better than city centre roads?
