Good Service

A post by Bock just reminded me about this: we were all sitting eating lunch in our kitchen on Saturday. In my house every door and window is permanently open for kids to wander in and out etc. etc. Anyway next of all a DOG arrives into our kitchen and Tony nearly jumped out of his skin roaring and shouting and the dog bolted and headed for the front door which he had just come in. But instead of the door space which was wide open he went straight through the glass panel next to it smashing it into a gzillion pieces. Jeez he must have hit it some bang. Although it's probably not toughened glass as it's quite old it would still be tough enough to have taken many previous bangs from footballs, basketballs and the like.
Anyway we rang a glazier this evening at about 5pm. He called to the house at 6pm. He returned with glass at 9 and had the job done and dusted in about half an hour. No bother at all. Poor dog is alright but he has his paws bandaged. And no he didn't make a dog shaped hole in the glass either...

Wow! That was great service from your glazier. I'm sticking with my cartoon image of a dog shape in the broken glass. You can't stop me!

It's been so long since I've made replies to my bloging friends! I hope you have recovered from your Mt. Run. You seemed very dissipointed in your time however given the course and any given day you did OK for yourself. You were probably pre-occupied with your hubbies adventure run. Anyways I hope you have started smiling again!

The see saw or teeter totter as we call it looks like an excellent cross training exercise. I can see you and your husband out in the yard with the kids all around begging for a turn :-)

Hope the dog heals up from his wayward bound. Take care and have fun!

OHMIGOD! The poor dog. I'm laughing at the dog shaped hole in the glass. You must have all got a fright over that.

Thanks Eric, the run in France is something I just put down to experience, genuinely. I look back now with fond memories, the group I was with were great! Thanks for taking the time out to post a comment, I know how busy you must be with all your training. I get so jealous looking at photos where you are running!

Ellen we got a fright alright but not as much as the dog. I don't like dogs really but this is a very placid one and I feel bad for him. The neighbours who own the dog came over and were all apologies and helping to tidy up. These things happen, no one seriously hurt and all that....Enjoying the hols?
