The lack of lane floats and a line painted on the bottom really reeks havoc with my swimming. I swim in a 40' dia. circle to the left in open water.

A marathon friend of mine was a total non-swimmer two years ago. He sank like a rock. Now he's headed to Kona to compete in the Ironman championship! He barely made it under the cutoff at his first Iroman. His second he was sub 60 min.

You can do it!Journey to a Centumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06294889164059934956noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37229260.post-7167318422648980752008-06-11T11:02:00.000+00:002008-06-11T11:02:00.000+00:00I panic too - I think about things I don't need to...I panic too - I think about things I don't need to!

Buy better goggles!

I paddled with my daughter yesterday evening, and the pain was fierce! More power to you.

I used to swim in the sea all the time when I was a kid, but it's maybe once or twice a year now, and only because of my daughter!Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08988685736635515808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37229260.post-3215027965103604052008-06-10T21:38:00.000+00:002008-06-10T21:38:00.000+00:00God darling, you're so brave. Straight lines are very good! I managed not to do that successfully in the triathlon last weekend and I also had the goggle problem - put them on as tight as you can bear, spray some anti fog on them also.

Are you wearing a wetsuit for the swim ?John Mchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14250048988279958221noreply@blogger.com
